Today was a day you want to remember for certain things and then not for others. Woke up got my shower and got ready. Had my breakfast and bottle of water with me to drink throughout the morning.
My buddy came and got me and we laughed the whole time there, it's been long time since I have laughed so much at one time. When we got there I was so ready and had my plan worked out on how I was going to handle both residents efficiently.
The plans changed slightly which was ok still was getting the jobs done. Now keep in mind I am doing and feeling fine all morning. We needed to do one more tasks before lunch, I had someone in there helping me. I did what I could then I stepped back for a minute to let her step in. I was still ok at this point just starting to get extremely hot.
Last thing I remember is the instructor coming in to check on us and telling me to then take my gloves off wash my hands and go down where everyone was. Then I was leaning up against the wall and that's the last I remember. I just remember being so hot.
Next thing I remember There was a really cute guy talking to me and giving me oxygen, that was in the ambulance. The doc at the hospital said that I got overheated, dehydrated, and one of the meds I take I need to stop for couple days see how I feel.
It upsets me so much that this happened because I actuaaly felt better today than any other day. Plus, I made a promise to someone and my promises mean a lot to me. So it really breaks my heart that this happened.
I will not finish clinicals with my class, but as soon as my health is on mends I will come back and do a week of clinicals. This is not the end of the blog no way no how.
